It's that time of year again! The holidays officially begin today with the release of Sugarland's new album Gold and Green. The dynamic country group tackles classics like Winter Wonderland with grace while introducing new holiday themes with originals like Maybe Baby (New Year's Day). This record is pure winter goodness from front-to-back. Whether you're ready or not, the holidays are here!
Sugarland has released holiday tracks in the past but this album is the duo’s first full holiday collection. When I first learned they would be releasing a full-fledged holiday album I immediately looked to see if the track, “Little Wood Guitar” would be included as it has become a holiday favorite for me. (Ok, I do listen to it year round, I’ll be honest.)
They're one of the hottest acts in the business, a country band straddling the rock 'n' roll world and loving every minute of it. Cover story With a new live CD/DVD ("Live on the Inside"), a new Christmas album ("Gold and Green") and sold-out shows filling their slate, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have worked their way up from the nightclubs of Georgia to the forefront of the national music scene.
